I have a master’s degree in ABA. Will my master’s in ABA count for the REOs

If you are wanting to become certified for IBA, you would need to be familiar with all requirements for the IBA.   You can find a detailed explanation of the requirements for the IBA on the IBAO downloads page on our website.

After you are familiar with all requirements you would register as an IBA candidate (Registration, not Addition).  Once registered, you would upload your master's degree and your REOs (270 hours of ABA coursework).  The master’s degree in ABA is also the REOs so you would upload that in the degree area and then again in the REOs area.  If you have previous supervision hours, you can email the forms here for verification. The forms will need to be signed by your supervisor.  We will need your supervisor's name and email address for verification.  Once we verify the supervision hours, we can add them to your account on our end.  After all the requirements are met, you can sit for the exam.  We have listed a summary of the requirements for the IBA below.

IBA - International Behavior Analyst - Certification requiring a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree and projects for the non-master’s experience route, 270 hours of REOs, 1000 hours of practice, 50 hours of supervision, candidate skills testing, CEUs, and the IBA Exam.
